Fool proof fairy cakes!

100g caster sugar
100g unsalted butter
100g self raising flour
2 Medium eggs (free range if you can)
1tsp vanilla extract

Step 1:
Weight out ingredients

Step 2:
Mix your butter and sugar together

Step 3:
Break your eggs into a cup and add your vanilla extract in and mix together

Step 4:
Add this into your butter sugar mixture

Step 5:
Sift in your flour and mix well

It should look something like this

I added in 50g of chocolate chips but you don't have to do this if you don't want to

Next transfer this into fairy cake cases (which I don't have a picture of because I'm a crappy blogger)

They take about 10 mins in a oven at 180degrees, they should be golden brown on top and springy to the touch!

Then doctorate how you want!

I used Betty Crocker strawberry icing, and fudge chocolate icing, honeycomb pieces and marshmallows! Well I say I decorated them my boyfriend did!

See :)

And there you have it foolproof fairy cakes!

If you try this recipe show me the photos on Instagram tagging #foolprooffairycakes

My UPDATED makeup brush cleaning routine!!

So recently someone asked me to do a blog brush on my updated makeup brush cleaning routine so here it is :)

(Once again I don't have any "dirty" makeup brush pics)

But... Here they are all clean!!!

As you can see from this pic my real techniques Stippiling brush (the pink one) is still dirty looking this is due to staining from Halloween face paint!

All I use to clean my brushes is about a table spoon of antibacterial washing up liquid and extra virgin olive oil with about a teaspoon of white cider vinegar all mixed together, and I've found this is the best combination to sterilise my brushes whilst moisturising them!

I swirl the brush in the mixture then swirl it around in my hand and then sit to rest whilst I do all the others and once there all done, go back and rince them all thoroughly in warm water and sometimes depending how dirty the brush is repeat this cycle again! Then I just pat dry and leave to air dry!

Little tip: always wash your brushes downwards otherwise you will get an excessive amount of water into the actual brush and this can loosen the glue and make the actual brush part fall out!

I do this about once or twice a week as well as spot cleaning my brushes after every use!
So there is my updated brush cleaning routine!

Poppin cookin

So recently I was told to try kracie'a poppin cookin and do a review on it so here it is?!

So once I opened the set it looked like this
I didn't take pictures of making the products but this is what they looked like in the end
I must admit they are not the nicest tasting thing in the world, they have the consistency of chewing gum and a very odd sweet taste with a very strange after taste, all that said though they are a great kit for children and this kit cost me £2.50 and came supposing quickly from Japan I ordered it off of amazon!

(Sorry for crappy pictures was taken on a iPhone in a badly lit room)

Bad Break Ups & Crappy Relationships

So... We've all had those crappy relationships, that have ended badly so I thought I would share my "5 warning signs of a crappy relationship" and "5 ways to make a breakup easier"

"5 Warning signs of a crappy relationship"

1: Oh no no no no you're not going there!
Being in a controlling relationship is tough to say the least, it can make you feel crap about yourself, like you're trapped, suffocated, and a child. In a relationship there should be trust, and you should be able to do what you want and see who you want, without feeling guilty or like you are betraying your partner.

2: You're fat
Domestic abuse doesn't have to be physical it can be mental too, if you find your partner insults you about your appearance or your weight or how much you eat or any of them things it can class as domestic abuse and believe me they don't eventually stop like you think they will it can carry on, get worse and end up in physical abuse!

3: You Dirty Little Cheat
Cheating can occur at any point in your relationship, honestly if you are 16-25 years old and the person you are with cheats on you, leave them and move on (assuming no children are involved) it is the best thing you could do, seems hard at the time but totally worth it!

4: "Where are you? Who are you with"
If there isn't trust then there's no point in being together, you need trust in a relationship to build a stable foundation to build upon, if they can't stand to be away from you for one night because they don't trust you, sorry but your relationship needs to end!

5: If you don't do this I'm going to do this!
Blackmailing in a relationship is toxic no one should make you do something you don't want to by threatening to expose something about you, you don't want people to see or know, if this is happening to you then run for the hills, because it will get worse!
"5 Ways to make a breakup easier"

1: But what if?
Don't dwell on the past it makes things worse! Should of, would of, could of, your relationship ended for a reason and that's the way it has to be!

2: Clutter Free
Throw away or give back any items that are theirs or that remind you of them afterwards you feel so much better.

3: No Contact No Trouble
Remove them from all social network sites and delete or even block their number, if they can't contact you there is no way they can guilt trip you into taking them back!

4: Now I'm A Warrior
If you see them don't show that you're upset about the breakup after all it was the best decision you have ever made!

5: I Told You It Was Doomed From The Beginning
Friends and family are honestly what you need right now, so spend some quality time with them, and you will soon enough forget about it!

So there you have it guys hope you enjoyed this.

Cookie Monster Cupcakes!!

Cookie Monster Cupcakes!!
Makes 12

You will need:

For Cakes:
2 Eggs
- 100g Sugar
- 100g Self-Raising Flour
- 100g Butter, Melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For The Cookie Monster:
- Betty Crocker Vanilla Buttercream
Desiccated Coconut
- 24 White Chocolate Buttons
- 24 Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips (dependant on taste)
- Blue Food Colouring
- 6 Chocolate Chip Cookies

How To:

Cake Mix:

1: Preheat oven to 180c/160Fan/Gas 4 place 12 cupcake cases into a 12 hole cupcake tin.

2: Put the sugar and butter into a mixing bowl and blend together until smooth.

3: Break both eggs into a cup, mix and add 1tsp of Vanilla Extract.

4: Slowly mix the egg into the butter/sugar making sure it has fully blended in.

5: Sift in the flour, and mix till all combined!

6: Spoon the mix equally into the cupcake cases and bake for 15-20 minutes until they have risen and darkened slightly.

7: Once cooked, remove from tray, place on cooling rack and allow to fully cool before decorating.

Cookie Monster:

1: Take 24 white chocolate buttons and place them out on a tray covered in Clingfilm.

2: Gently dip the flat bottom of each chocolate chip into the Betty Crocker Vanilla Buttercream and then place the chocolate chip onto the white button close to the edge.

3: Repeat these steps with the rest of the buttons, once finished, place the tray into the fridge and allow to cool and set. You will know when they are set as you can turn the buttons upside down and the chocolate chips will not fall off!

4: Mix a cap full of the blue food colouring into the tub of buttercream and mix it until it is the right colour blue you want, add more food colouring if you wish.

5: Pour about half a packet of desiccated coconut into a bowl that you don't mind if it ends up getting stained. Mix in about a cap full of blue food colouring stirring until the coconut is completely blue.

6: Now the cakes are cool, scoop on a spoonful of the blue buttercream making sure it is quite thick and spread until you cannot see the cake below.

7: Quickly before the buttercream sets sprinkle on top the blue coconut or you can do what I did and roll the top of the cake into the bowl of coconut shaping it until its perfectly round.

8: Take 6 Chocolate chip cookies and gently cut them in half making sure you do not break them, and push the cut side into the cake about 1/2 a centimetre away from the edge.

9:Take the chocolate button eyes you made earlier and push them into the top of the cake as well.

10:  And there you have it 12 Cookie Monster cakes!

I hoped you liked this!  They are super easy to make and are great for birthdays and parties!

Cheaper alternative to makeup brush cleaner!!

Cleaning your makeup brushes can be a real pain and brush cleaners are expensive but I have now found a cheaper alternative and it's only £4.50! Now that may seem expensive just to clean your brushes but it is so much cheaper than other alternitives out there!

The product I use is the Body Shop's rainforest balance shampoo for oily hair!

I absolutely love using this product to deep clean my brushes! It really got down deep into the bristles and got all the makeup out!

I didn't take a before picture as my brushes where disgusting but I can't believe how well it cleaned them and they smelt really lovely too!

The brushes I use are real techniques
-Stippiling Brush
-Powder Brush
-Foundation brush
-Detailer Brush
-Contour Brush
But I can't remember what the brush 3rd from the right is! Sorry guys!

What is your alternitives to expensive brush cleaners? And what brushes do you use?
